For our team, the upcoming events are:

Second Home Meet

Swim Meet - Tuesday, June 30th - View Ridge at Blue Ridge.

Swimmers at the pool by 4:45
Timers/volunteers by 5:45
Meet begins at 6:00

Food for Concessions

The swim team makes money by selling concessions during our home meets. We ask that each family bring a donation of food to the kitchen at the clubhouse before our three home meets. We have divided the team by last name into two groups (A - K - sweets, L - Z - healthy). Sue Gregor, our concessions guru, has complied the guidelines below based on prior years.

Things that will sell:

nice fruit cups
veggie packs in baggies (a small ranch dip on the side a plus!)
homemade baked goods like BIG cookies, ricekrispie treats etc.- bring individually wrapped to sell.
pasta salads with either some veggies or something like salami
kid type candy (anything like sour-patch, air heads- ask your kids what they would buy)
vitamin waters
Gatorade

Things that do not sell:

granola bars
fruit snacks
peanuts in a pack
cracker and cheese or peanut butter packs

Any questions about apparel should be directed to Connie at leibow@comcast.net.

The representative from Toastrz (the big fluffy swim coats) will be coming to the meet on Tuesday to collect any orders that were not made originally. Is anyone interested? It would be a good idea to get a feel if people will be buying at this time.

Missing a Swim Meet?

If your swimmer will miss a swim meet make sure you put their name on the "missing meet" forms at the pool. This is what the coaches use to build the linen-ups. If it is within a day of two of the meet, make sure you also e-mail the coaches at blueridgeswimcoach@yahoo.com.

For parents of 8 & U and 10 & U - it is a good idea to let the age group coordinator know if you will be missing a meet.
